Col de Granon (2413m)

The Col de Granon is a tough climb which ends at the Col unless you have good tyres or a mountain bike. From the Col, there are impressive views across the valley to the high alpine peaks of the Ecrins massif.

Col d'Izoard (2360m)

A very pretty Col with valley cycling at the bottom, before cycling through woods and then the Col.

Pre de Madame Carle (1875m)

A climb that is similar to the climb to La Berarde, only the other side of the Ecrins massif. A dead-end road that climbs into the heart of the range to the Refuge de Madame Carle. The climb is surrounded by high mountains with views of the Glacier Blanc near the refuge.

The road turns into a small single track after les Claux.

Try to avoid this climb in July and August as each day, the refuge is a popular destination with hundreds of walkers, making the road a dangerous place.
