Every autumn, some of the best track riders in the world visit Grenoble for the Six Days of Grenoble. The event runs for six evenings, starting at around seven with the racing running until two in the morning. The event takes place in the Palais des Sports in the centre of Grenoble.
There are two types of event, the first made up of the twelve two-man teams who will ride events from the madison to pro-sprints. The sprinters make up the other events, and ride knock out competitions which end with the final later in the evening.
