Route 3 : La Clusaz - La Clusaz

HOME

(96km, 1750m climb)

The obvious route from La Clusaz taking in the two most famous local climbs. The warm up takes you over the Col des Aravis before the road descends to Flumet and then climbs steadily to the ski resort of Megeve. The highest peak in the Alps, Mont Blanc dominates the views on the descent to Sallanches. The glaciers beneath the mountain peak sparkle throughout the year.

The route is flat for 16 kilometres before the main climb of the ride, over the Col de la Colombiere, a vertical kilometre above the town below. Watch out for the horseflys on this one as it is steep in places, and a perfect place for them to land and bite as the speed isn't too high.
